Chelsea defender Filipe Luis has confirmed that he has no plans on quitting the club this Summer.
The Brazilian completed a £16million move to Stamford Bridge last year after they agreed a fee with Atletico Madrid, but after struggling to cement a first-team spot under Jose Mourinho, there were reports suggesting he could return to Spain.
According to numerous sources, Luis was considering a shock return to Atletico after speaking to one of his former team-mates, but he has now confirmed that his plans are to stay in West London and fight for his place in the starting XI.
‘I’m happy at Chelsea. I want to stay at the club until the end of my contract,’ he said.
The 29-year-old has made 23 appearances in all competitions this season, whilst Cesar Azpilicueta has made 33.
