Chelsea and Tottenham are currently battling with each other along with Spanish champions Atletico Madrid over the signing of Inter striker Mauro Icardi.
The 21 year old has scored seven goals in twelve appearances for Inter this season and has attracted a lot of interest around Europe.
The Argentinian’s contract does not run out until 2018 and Inter do not want to sell the man in January although they want to start a bidding war next summer to raise the striker’s price.
Chelsea already have Diego Costa but want a new back-up striker as Didier Drogba is 36 and out of contract in the summer.
Spurs on the other hand are hoping that Icardi’s fellow country man Mauricio Pochettino can persuade him to join the club.
