Liverpool star reminisces about incredible night at Anfield
Emre Can has confessed that he has never played in a game with an atmosphere like Anfield had on Thursday night.
Liverpool incredibly scored a required 3 goals in the final half an hour to go through to the Europa League semi-finals vs Borussia Dortmund, beating them 5-4 on aggregate.
Can said,  “It was unbelievable.
“I’ve never played in an atmosphere like that.
“They were our 12th man. We were one team all together – the players, the manager, the staff and the supporters.
“This is a big result and this is for everyone, it’s for the whole city.
“Everyone believed we could do it, even at half-time. I am very proud to be a part of this team.”
However, the victory came at a cost for Can, who injured his ankle before the corner that lead to Liverpool’s third goal of the night, and will now spend 4-6 weeks on the sidelines, missing both legs of the semi-final vs Villareal.
Can has been impressive for Liverpool this campaign, particularly since Klopp took charge. The prospect has kept the ball well, registering an average pass accuracy of 81% in the Premier League, and, at this juncture at least, he appears much better suited to playing in midfield than at centre-back.
