Jack Wilshere banned for two-matches

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is set to miss two Premier League fixtures over the Christmas period after his appeal was rejected by the FA.

The young Englishman was charged by the Football Association for making a rude gesture to one of the Manchester City fans at the weekend during their heavy 6-3 defeat, and despite accepting the charge, Wilshere decided to challenge the two-match ban.

Unfortunately for Wilshere and Arsene Wenger, his appeal was rejected and he will now sit out off two London derbies as he will miss Chelsea at home on Monday and West Ham United away on Boxing Day.
