Arsenal are set to reward midfielder star, Jack Wilshere, with a new long-term deal and a whopping pay-rise.
According to reports, officials at the Emirates Stadium will sit down and talk with Wilshere and his agent in January in order to discuss a new deal, which could see him stay at the club until 2020.
It’s believed the Arsenal board want the midfielder to sign a long-term deal in order to commit his future to the club, as they see him as a potential future-captain, with both Mikel Arteta and Per Mertesacker coming to the end of their careers.
The new contract would see Wilshere earn around £150k-a-week, making him one of the club’s highest earners, along with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
After seeing Wilshere’s recent performances for both club and country, Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, is adamant that the fans will see the very best of the midfielder now.
