John Ruddy has renewed his contract until 2017. Ruddy is very grateful of the club helping him get into the England squad.

John Ruddy said: “I’m more happy to commit my long-term future to the club. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Norwich – everyone has been very supportive. The whole club, the players and staff I have worked with have been fantastic. I’ve broken into the England squad while at Norwich and without the opportunity they gave me I wouldn’t have been anywhere near it. I was in a bit of a no man’s land before I joined the club, and they took a gamble on me.”

“Thankfully I think it’s paid off for both sides and now I’m just looking to keep up my form.”

Ruddy joined Norwich from Everton in 2010 and has made over 100 appearances in all competitions for the club. His cap was against Italy in a friendly. Chris Hughton said that there was interest in the English international however he made it clear that he was not for sale. The goalkeepers fitness has helped the canaries in this difficult time due to injuries to Alex Tettey, Ricky van Wolfswinkel & Robert Snodgrass.
