Club-captain says player wouldn’t get out of the dressing room if true

Chelsea skipper John Terry has rubbished reports claiming there is a rat in the dressing room, insisting that they wouldn’t get out the dressing room if there was.

The media are having a field-day around Chelsea Football Club in recent weeks due to the slump on the pitch, and also the problems off it, but Terry has insisted that there is no rat.

Reports emerged from BBC Five Live that a player in the current Chelsea first-team said he’d rather lose than win for Jose Mourinho, and when questioned about those quotes, Terry rubbished them very quickly.

Terry Addresses Issues

“In the last few days we’ve had ridiculous stories about what’s happening within the dressing room,” said Terry. “In my whole career I’ve never heard a player come out with those words.

“The player wouldn’t be let out of the dressing room, let’s be honest. It wouldn’t go down too well.

“I’ve seen players’ faces with the disappointment after results. The players are 100% behind the manager. We are together.

“The players will stand up and say – and I will personally – we’ve not been good enough. We take that on our shoulders. We know what we need to do.

“It’s going to take a dressing room that sticks together. We are prepared to fight. The fans want to see people putting their bodies on the line. That’s the bare minimum.”

Fingers were immediately pointed at Cesc Fabregas, but he has been quick to rubbish the reports by reiterating his love for the club and his bond with Mourinho.
