Liverpool skipper plans return after international break

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson will step up his recovery work after the international break.

The club captain has been sidelined for six weeks so far with a foot injury, and he was expected to miss up to 10-weeks, but after slowly beginning to do outdoor work at Melwood, he could be ready to step up his recovery.

Henderson broke his metatarsal whilst trying to shake off a heel problem, which kept him out earlier in the season.

When stepping up his recovery, the midfielder has been advised to monitor the pains in his heels as well as in his foot because there could still be some underlying problems with his heel.

America Treatment

Henderson flew to America earlier in the season to see a specialist, much like Daniel Sturridge has been doing, and they told the England international that surgery wouldn’t be required for his heel problem.

After undergoing all the injections for his heel, Henderson returned to training only to break his metatarsal 72-hours later.
