Arsenal midfielder Jorginho gives update on his future with the club.
The Italian midfielder’s contract with Arsenal is set to expire next summer although there’s an extension clause.
The 31-year-old midfielder has brought a wealth of experience at the highest level after winning several trophies with Chelsea over the years.
He was brought in as a short-term solution by Mikel Arteta but now his future lies in the muds as both Declan Rice and Thomas Partey are ahead in the pecking order.
Mikel Arteta knows how much quality Jorginho adds to Arsenal’s midfield depth and won’t be eager to sell him this January.
Clubs like Juventus are interested in signing the former Napoli midfielder on a free transfer next summer.
Jorginho has made nine appearances this season but only three of those have been starts.
The midfielder has explained how he is currently happy with Arsenal and has not given a thought about his long-term future.
“No, I haven’t had any conversations to be honest,” he said. “And the only thing I can say is that I feel really good here and I am really happy at Arsenal.
“I didn’t think [about it] to be honest with you! I am thinking about tomorrow.”
