Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Andre Schurrle will be staying at Stamford Bridge this Summer, despite the interest shown from Atletico Madrid.
According to numerous reports, Atletico were in early talks with Chelsea regarding a potential deal for the World Cup winner, but Mourinho has moved quickly to dismiss those reports suggesting that he has a role to play for him this season.
Schurrle is a versatile midfielder, who can also play up front, and Mourinho is keen to keep him at the club.
In Mourinho’s press conference today, he said: “Right, now, there is no offer or possibility.”
