Jose Mourinho has categorically denied that Petr Cech has asked to depart Stamford Bridge, describing the rumours as ‘Mickey Mouse’ reports.

Cech’s first team action has been limited, only playing 66 minutes of Premier League football this season, with Thibaut Courtois being preferred as Chelsea’s number one.

In recent weeks, Arsenal have been heavily linked with Cech along with AC Milan.

Mourinho was asked about the validity of these rumours over Cech’s future.

“In which Mickey Mouse website? In which Mickey Mouse blog? In this moment Cech is our goalkeeper. He has a contract for two more years and is a fantastic professional.”

The Portuguese added: “Not once has Petr Cech knocked on my door to inform me about his desire to accept some proposal.

That is the truth and there is nothing more I can say.”

At 32 years of age, the Czech shot stopper potentially has another five years or more left at the top of the game.
