Theo Walcott or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for Petr Cech

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will allow Petr Cech to join Arsenal this Summer, but only if he gets either Theo Walcott or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in return.

The veteran goalkeeper is set to leave Stamford Bridge this year after falling down the pecking order at the beginning of the season, and according to numerous reports, Arsenal are favourites to sign the shot-stopper.

Interest in Cech

Cech will end his long-term association with The Blues after losing his place in the first-team to Thibaut Courtois, who is a decade younger than him, and despite wanting to fight for his first-team spot this season, the Czech is now resigned to leaving the club in order for first-team football.

As well as Arsenal, both Manchester United and Liverpool have shown interest in the goalkeeper, but it looks like The Gunners are in pole position as they look to seal a ÂŁ10million deal.

However, Mourinho has now informed the club that he wants a player in return.

Mourinho Eyes Player-Swap

According to reports, the Portuguese wants one of Arsenal’s English wingers, either Walcott or Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Chelsea are keen on adding more English players to their squad and also want to add a couple of younger faces to the team, and with five expected to leave Stamford Bridge this Summer, including Oscar and Juan Cuadrado, either of the Arsenal wingers could fit in well at The Bridge.

It’s not understood as of yet if Arsene Wenger would be prepared to lose either winger, but they still remain keen on bringing in Cech once the current season ends.

Wenger has blooded both Walcott and Chamberlain from a young age since bringing them to North London from Southampton, and ideally, he would want to keep both.
