Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has personally contacted Real Madrid star, Sergio Ramos, and has told him that there is a place for him at Stamford Bridge if contract talks go badly in Spain.

The Spanish international is currently holding talks with officials at the Bernabeu regarding a new deal, but after rejecting their first offer due to a decrease in weekly-pay, it’s reported that the defender may be keen on an exit from the club.

Ramos was so frustrated about the contract offer, he went and spoke to Madrid’s former Sporting Director, Arrigo Sacchi, but after holding talks with him, he was urged to stay at the club.

According to reports, Sacchi told Ramos: â€śYou have to stay where you are. Look at Shevchenko and Kaka, who left solid situations for greater salary, and it cut short their careers. You’re in the right place at Madrid, so you should stay.”

Despite being urged to stay, Ramos has been told by Mourinho that he can come and join Chelsea and have a place in his team, which will also include a higher salary due to the club’s financial strengths.

The 28-year-old is reportedly keen on staying in Spain, and Carlo Ancelotti also wants to keep him, but if the contract offer isn’t acceptable, a move to Chelsea may occur in the near-future.
