Blues boss was speaking after side eased past Walsall in Capital One Cup
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has taken a swipe at the FA for rescinding Gabriel Paulista’s three-match ban.
It was announced earlier in the week that the Arsenal defender won’t serve a three-match ban after the Gunners had their appeal accepted for unfair dismissal from the match-day referee.
Gabriel saw red on the stroke of half-time at Stamford Bridge on Saturday when Mike Dean sent him off for an altercation with Chelsea‘s Diego Costa.
However, after appealing, the North London club were boosted as the FA chose to overrule Dean‘s decision.
Sadly for Chelsea however, Costa did get banned and will now serve a three-match ban for his actions during the game.
Speaking after Chelsea’s 4-1 win over Walsall last night, Mourinho couldn’t resist having a swipe at the FA for their decision.
Mourinho Not Happy
Mourinho fumed: “Now we know something – which is that retaliation is allowed now. You can do it.”
He was then asked about Costa’s ban standing, but he refused to comment on it.
