John Stones and Alexandre Lacazette on his radar
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is ready to start spending in the transfer window again with John Stones and Alexandre Lacazette both on his wishlist.
The Blues have suffered a poor start to the new campaign, picking up just one point from two games, with the latest blow coming at the hands of their title-rivals Manchester City.
City smashed Mourinho‘s men 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium, leaving The Blues five points off Manuel Pellegrini‘s men already in the title-race.
Mourinho wants to act quickly to the poor start and is now ready to add further players to his side.
Chelsea have been relatively quiet so far this summer, signing three players in the shape of Radamel Falcao (loan), Asmir Begovic and Baba Rahman.
£60m on Duo
However, he now wants to add two more players to his squad which could see him spend up to £60million.
Stones from Everton is the main target and after seeing two formal bids rejected so far, Mourinho could up the club’s offer to around £40m, doubling what their initial bid was.
A further £21m could be spent on Lyon striker Lacazette, who is also wanted by Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool.
Mourinho may struggle to land the Frenchman however after he states his desire to stay put in Ligue 1 for the season ahead.
