Luke Chambers made his first start for Liverpool against Toulouse at Anfield.

The 19-year-old defender made his full debut in the Europa League victory over Toulouse.

The left-back was given his first start for the club as Andy Robertson will be sidelined for three months with a shoulder injury.

Kostas Tsimikas was expected to deputise in the left-back position but young Luke Chambers was given his chance.

Chambers recorded a 77% pass accuracy before being withdrawn in the 67th minute and the youngster loved every minute of his Anfield debut.

The club academy graduate helped the side deliver a 5-1 win as Liverpool takes another step towards the knockout round of the Europa League.

Jurgen Klopp had full of praise for the youngster who has risen through the Academy ranks in Kirkby.

“He’s a boy with big hopes, he was on loan, done really really well in Scotland,” said Klopp.

“He came back, had lots of opportunities, unlucky injury – it’s time, time to show up. It’s cool, no massive expectations, just be yourself, he deserves that. He’s very excited I’m sure of that.”
