Liverpool had their first loss in the Europa League.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is angered by his side’s 3-2 loss to French side Toulouse last night.

The German coach made nine changes to the squad and most of their first-team stars came on at half-time.

The squad lacked flow and created very few chances until the final minutes of the game when Jarell Quansah appeared to have snatched a 97th-minute equaliser but there was a handball by Alexis Mac Allister in the build up.

It was Liverpool’s second disheartening result of the week after the draw with Luton Town and Klopp believes there is a lack of intensity from the squad.

“It was well deserved to lose because they won pretty much all the decisive challenges, battles,” Klopp told reporters.

“We have too many situations where we should have won the ball but we didn’t.”

“No, I am not concerned. In the end, we were intense – we threw everything in,” he added.

“But the problem is in a football game you have to make the decisive things in the right moment to do them right. We cannot concede the goals we conceded again.”
