Inter Milan star is wanted by Liverpool
According to reports, Serie A champions Juventus have held secret transfer talks with Inter Milan regarding a potential deal for midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
The Croatian midfielder is wanted by Premier League side Liverpool, who has been tracking him for several months now, however, according to reports today, Juve are in pole position.

According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, The Old Lady have sent officials to Milan in order to hold formal talks with Inter about a possible transfer worth around £21million.
The 21-year-old midfielder was crucial for Inter last season and has been hotly tipped to join Liverpool this summer, with the two clubs believed to have been in talks in the past few months.
However, after stalling over the asking-price, Liverpool have now fallen out of favour to sign Kovacic and it looks like he could make a move across Italy ahead of next season.
Alternative Option
Kovacic was tipped to replace Steven Gerrard at Anfield, despite The Reds signing James Milner and Roberto Firmino in the past few weeks, but it now looks like their attentions will turn elsewhere.
It’s believed Liverpool will focus on trying to lure Real Madrid misfit Asier Illarramendi to Merseyside with a bid worth £15m expected to be made in the near-future.
