Kevin Strootman wants a move to Man United in January. According to Goal, the midfielder is desperate to link-up with his former international team boss at Old Trafford.

The player will speak to Roma about giving a move to England the go ahead and a move could happen as soon as the winter transfer window.

The 24-year old was Louis Van Gaal’s top priority when he joined United in the summer, but due to a knee injury and Roma refusing to sell, a deal didn’t happen. But with Strootman’s injury improving and with the news that he wants to leave, a deal could be back on the cards.

Despite signing a plethora of midfielders in summer, LVG would also be happy to sign the Dutchman and would make room in the current Red Devils squad for him.
