Manager calls on Reds to beat smaller teams

Jurgen Klopp has called upon his team to be ‘angry’ vs Hull in order to shake of the perception that Liverpool cannot beat the ‘smaller’ sides in the league.

The Reds have made a strong side to the season, beating Chelsea, Arsenal and Leicester all inside their first 5 games. They also picked up a draw away at Spurs.

However, the blip on their record was a loss away to Burnley in gameweek 2, and Klopp is hoping to avoid a repeat performance of that on Saturday.

“Yes we need to be angry against Hull. They want our points. We have to think about why people think we have problems against bus parking,” he said.

“I would love to see everybody go with the right expectations to these games. Why should it be easier?

“Why should a team who people think is weaker than us not have the opportunity to win? I can guarantee it’s not about the attitude of the players.

“Hull are ready for the Premier League. They have a very experienced coach and a squad with a great attitude.”
