The Dutchman could leave St. Mary’s this summer
According to Sky Sports News HQ, Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is in talks with fellow Premier League club Everton about taking up their managerial vacancy.
The 53-year old has one year remaining on his current Saints’ contract, and he looked set to pen an extension that would keep him on the South-Coast for a further season.
However, those talks seem to have broken down, with Koeman reportedly impressed with Everton’s transfer funds (a rumoured £165 million to spend) and their plans for a new stadium.
It is also speculated that the Toffees’ new owner, Farhad Moshiri, wants to bring Sevilla’s director of football Monchi to Goodison Park.
It is believed that the Spaniard would take up a similar role at the Merseyside club, which would see him work closely with Koeman in handling the first team.
