Koke has insisted that he is staying at Atletico Madrid.
Atletico’s playmaker has been the subject of plenty of transfer speculation since the January transfer window, with interest shown from huge clubs like Machester United, Barcelona and Chelsea. He has enjoyed a wonderful season at Madrid, winning La Liga and making it to a Champions League final under manager Diego Simeone, and has been rewarded with a place in Vincent del Bosque’s 23-man Spain squad for the World Cup.
Despite the speculation, Koke is perfectly happy at the Vicente Calderon, and is confident he will play out his current contract, expiring in 2018
“My future is with Atletico. I am happy in my club and now I have a deal and do not think about an exit,” he said,
“Really my head is only focused on the work for Spain in Brazil 2014. My dream is to win this title with minutes in the game, although that depends on the coach,” he said.
“I have arrived to the team and each day I learn many things, especially about players such as Xavi and Iniesta.”
