Toni Kroos has said “I belong to Bayern Munich”
Manchester United boss David Moyes has taken a real liking to Kroos, and was lining up a summer move for the player.
Kroos’s future looked uncertain after talks had stalled over extending his current contract, which expires in 2015.
Bayern chairmain Karl Heinz Rummenigge is unsure what will happen after 2015, but he has said: “[Kroos] will certainly play at Bayern next year,. What’s beyond that, I don’t know.”
This may well have put a few minds to rest at Bayern, who want to keep the German international.
He has also gone on to say in a Munich paper after last night’s Champions League clash: “It is a beautiful stadium. But I belong to Bayern Munich and that’s good.”
Kroos is also very confident that they will progress to the semi finals of the Champions League after posting on the club’s website. “It was a tough game.
“We dominated the match, but Man United gave their all and they were dangerous.
“We deserved the 1-1 draw at the end of the day. The result’s OK. We’ve got every chance in the return game.”
