Chelsea are ready to make a £24m bid for Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah, according to reports.
Versatile Asamoah, who can play in a variety of positions across the midfield and also in defence, has been deemed surplus to requirements at the Turin side.
Kwadwo, 22, was named 27th best footballer in the world by Bloomberg in 2013. He has appeared in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups for Ghana, with 66 caps to his name.
In 2010, he was awarded CAF Most Promising African player, and two-time Ghana Player of the Year, in 2012 and 2013.
His versatility, strength, pace, stamina, and technical ability have marked him out as a target for Jose Mourinho’s Premier League leaders.
