Defender sustained hamstring injury against Olympiakos
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed Laurent Koscielny will be out of action for at least three weeks.
The centre-back was substituted off against Olympiakos on Tuesday evening after picking up an injury, and after the game it was revealed that it was his hamstring.
Per Mertesacker came on for the Frenchman and he is expected to take his place for the Manchester United match on Sunday, partnering Gabriel Paulista.
Worse Than Expected
Wenger has confirmed that the injury to Koscielny is worse than first feared and means he will miss just shy of a month.
The defender won’t be in contention for France’s upcoming matches against Armenia and Denmark on October 9 and 12.
Wenger will have from Mertesacker, Gabriel and Calum Chambers to choose from for the United game.
