PSG winger, Ezequiel lavezzi believes his side can win against Chelsea during their second leg clash of the Champions League without Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has very much been a key figure in the French side’s season.

The Swede will miss the clash at Stamford Bridge following a hamstring injury he picked up during the first leg, in which the Parisien side won 3-1.

Lavezzi opened the scoring in spectacular fashion that night and believes his side are more than capable of winning without their star man, even if he is the best striker in the world.

The Ligue 1 winger told Goal“Zlatan for me is the best forward player in the world – of course he will be missed in London – but we can beat Chelsea without him,”

“He is a big player who has played in many big games – but we showed in the first game that we have many players with the qualities to hurt Chelsea.”

Lavezzi also believes that Chelsea’s game plan will not work against PSG and that his side will do everything to get a vital away goal, which would potentially see the tie over.

“Chelsea have to attack us – and that wont be easy for them. It is their style to sit back and defend and try to score on the counter-attack – but they need to score two goals so they wont be able to do that.

“We don’t just plan to go there and defend – we have to be intelligent but we will be looking to score – because that away goal we know could kill the tie.”
