According to reports, Leicester City are demanding a whopping £75 million for center back Harry Maguire which has left Manchester United stunned. Jose Mourinho is eager to sign a centre back who can partner Eric Bailly and was interested in Toby Alderweireld. However, Tottenham valued him at £70 million and Mourinho set his eyes on Maguire.
The Red Devils were offering £50 million for the and Mourinho had reportedly urged Ed Woodward to sign him. However, The Foxes are demanding a sum of £75 million for Maguire. This price could make Maguire the joint most expensive defender in the world along with Virgil Van Dijk who was signed by Liverpool for the same amount. Leicester City Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha is using his negotiation skills to keep Harry Maguire after losing Riyad Mahrez. He had demanded £90 million from Manchester City for Mahrez a few months back.
Harry Maguire joined Leicester City at a fee of £2.5m which could have risen to a maximum of £17m today. However, the World Cup intervened and hence, the inflation of his price tag.
