Leicester are closing on a deal for Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans. As a part of the move Leicester City midfielder Adrien Silva will switch his allegiance for the remainder of the season.
Tielemans has been the hottest prospect in this January transfer window and a number of clubs including Everton, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have courted his move.
The Belgian playmaker does have the spark to dazzle in the middle of the park and will provide some much needed rigidity to the Leicester midfield. With Vicente Iborra’s departure there has been a large void to fill in and Claude Puel would be hoping the Belgium international would fit into his strategy.
Silva has had a horrific time at King Power Stadium since his move from Sporting Lisbon and has completely failed to live up to the expectations. The midfielder would be reunited with his former manager Leonardo Jardim at Monaco and could rekindle their old romance at the French club.
If reports are to be believed there will be no option to buy clause in the contract and the Tielemans will return to his parent club at the end of this season. With the transfer window on the verge of closure, an announcement is expected soon.
