The sanctions concern the pitch invasion during the Derby du Nord in Ligue 1.

According to the reports of L’Équipe, Ligue 1 authorities’ disciplinary commission has given a verdict on the various fan incidents in the French league in the last few weeks. Following all the details, the disciplinary commission handed suspended one-point deduction to three clubs Lille, Lens and Marseille. Lille are the regning Ligue 1 champions.

The sanctions concern the pitch invasion during the clash between Lens and Lille. The hosts won the Derby du Nord 2-0. Meanwhile, similar incidents happened during the Angers-Marseille fixture. It saw a conflict between the two sets of fans.

Lens have also been ordered to play two games behind closed doors. Lille and Marseille will see their away ends closed off to fans in all games until December 31. On the other side, Angers have been sentenced to play two games with one of their stands closed likely to Lens, followed by a €20,000 fine.
