Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain form Barcelona for a world record fee of €222 million last August, which made him the most expensive player in football history. The Brazilian joined the La Liga giants back in 2013 and enjoyed a successful period there before leaving for France.

It was suggested that the Brazil International had grown tired of operating in the shadow of Lionel Messi and wanted to become a talismanic figure in his own right.

The 26 year old was in excellent form for the Ligue 1 giants last season, scoring 28 goals and assisting 16 from 30 appearances before suffering a foot injury. He won the Ligue 1 Player’s of the year award despite missing the end of the campaign and returned to full fitness ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

There were reports in the past few months that the winger was less than satisfied with life in Paris and could move away after just 1 season. He was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid throughout the summer transfer window and the speculations intensified when Cristiano Ronaldo left to join Juventus.

But a deal never took place and with the European transfer window closed now, he will stay with the Ligue I champions atleast for the 2018/2109 campaign.

However, his contract with PSG is until 2022, but there have been repeated rumours he could leave Ligue 1 before then. The player has also been linked with a move to Premier League few times in the past.

Neymar would prefer to move to Chelsea or Arsenal rather than Manchester City if he switched to the Premier League, according to the Daily Express.

The Brazilian is a big fan of London and has visited the English capital three or four times in the past 12 months.
