According to Edinson Cavani’s agent, Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool have made approaches for the Uruguayan’s services.
The striker is widely reported to leave France this Summer with the club desperate to raise funds in order to meet the Financial Fair Play rules.
The club confirmed today that they will not be signing Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid due to the transfer costing them too much, but they are working hard behind the scenes in order to sell a couple of top earners at the club.
Cavani is expected to leave, as is Ezequiel Lavezzi, who is also wanted by Liverpool.
With the 27-year-old expected to depart, his agent has already confirmed interest in him has been high already.
‘There has been much interest in the player during the last six months,’ Claudio Anelluci told El Telegrafo.
‘I can confirm that Cavani heard proposals from Liverpool and Arsenal.
‘[Cavani] Already said he would love to play in England, but has not yet made a final decision.
‘He is not interested in money and fame; just want to be happy playing football.’
