Liverpool have launched a £3.2million bid for Uruguayan striker, Jaime Baez, who is being dubbed as the ‘new Luis Suarez’.
The striker, who currently plays in South America with Atletico Juventud, has only scored nine goals in his 49 firs-team appearances, but he is growing a reputation of setting up goals and creating lots of chances due to his pace and energy.
Baez is one of the hottest properties in South America and Liverpool are keen to push through a deal in the New Year.
La Liga side, Valencia, are also interested in signing the 19-year-old, but according to reports, Liverpool are in pole position to land the teenager.
