According to the Daily Star, the former Liverpool striker Fernando Torres could be in line for a sensation move back to Anfield.
Torres, who is currently on loan at Italian giant AC Milan, has been put under yet more scrutiny after just one goal in ten appearances, and it seems his contract may be cancelled.
It would seem that the high-flying Chelsea squad wouldn’t have much use for him if he did return early from his loan spell, with Jose Mourinho having Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Didier Drogba all to choose from.
According to reports, Chelsea could move Torres on for free if Milan were to cancel his contract and Rodgers could take advantage of Torres’ unclear future and bring him back to Anfield.
