The versatile defender has been out long-term
Liverpool’s young star Joe Gomez has started his road to recovery from injury as he aims to return for pre-season.
The 19-year old joined the Reds from Charlton Athletic last summer and started the season in promising fashion, producing some solid performances from the left-back berth.
However, his season was promptly ended after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee.
The Liverpool Echo recently reported that Gomez has been doing some solo training at Liverpool’s Melwood training complex, as he aims to be fit for their up and coming pre-season fixtures.
The England under 21s international will be working hard to impress Jurgen Klopp, who he is yet to play under due to being out injured for eight months.
