Jurgen Klopp has limited options at the back due to injuries

Liverpool are ready to make an emergency move for Lorient defender Raphael Guerreiro, according to reports.

The Reds are currently in the middle of a serious injury crisis, with 10 first-team players all sidelined, including several centre-backs, which leaves Klopp very short on options.

Following Liverpool‘s 1-0 win over Stoke City last night, Klopp all-but confirmed his need to sign a new centre-back due to the injury concerns, and reports this morning claim Guerreiro has made the list.

The 22-year-old has made his intentions clear to Lorient that he wants to leave the club, and this could be the perfect opportunity to make his way to the Premier League.

Defensive Issues

Dejan Lovren was the latest centre-back to get injured for Liverpool last night, joining the likes of Martin Skrtel, Mamadou Sakho and Joe Gomez on the sidelines, leaving Kolo Toure as the only fit and recognisable option.

Guerreiro is considered as an option, but Klopp may take his time to look elsewhere.

However, Liverpool take on Arsenal next week and could be doing so without a single recognised centre-back.
