Liverpool has long been drawing links with Borussia Mönchengladbach attacker, Thorgan Hazard.
The 25-year-old has been in remarkable form this season, scoring 12 goals in 19 appearances so far. One can imagine the Belgian’s footballing talent since he is the younger brother of Eden Hazard.
While Thorgan might not be at the same level as his older sibling, he certainly is one of the most lethal attackers in the Bundesliga. His contract is due to end in another 18 months with reports claiming that the player has no intentions of extending.
That could force Mönchengladbach to sell him this very season instead of letting him go for free in the next. According to the latest reports, AS Roma has already turned up their pursuit of Hazard along with La Liga side, Atletico Madrid.
Roma’s Sporting Director, Monchi is understandably preparing a £31m bid to get the winger this very January. Jurgen Klopp has to move fast if he is to get his man in the upcoming window while he is still in red-hot scoring form.
Liverpool have distanced themselves from Manchester City in the Premier League title race by 7 points on Boxing Day. They are also set to face Bayern Munich in the Round Of 16 of the UEFA Champions League in February.
Klopp understands this is his best shot at winning silverware and is willing to make the necessary additions. Hazard could offer more scoring threat but will have to fight for his position in the team.
