Liverpool are now the most likely to sign Leicester City forward Riyad Mahrez according to reports.
Leicester City forward Mahrez has been on the radar of various European clubs ever since his impressive season with Leicester, that saw them lift the Premier League crown, to the surprise of football fans all over the world.
Many were surprised that Mahrez was not snapped up like his former team-mate N’Golo Kante, but it seems now that Leicester have returned to normality, the sharks are circling.
The 26-year-old Algeria international is seen as a talent with a lot of potential, and it is said that Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City are all interested in bringing him in.
But according to a representative from Ladbrokes, Liverpool are now the odds-on favorite to sign Mahrez.
This would undoubtedly be a big signing if Jurgen Klopp can pull it off, and Mahrez will be able to inject the Liverpool side with an extra bit of quality.
Leicester will likely hold out for as big a deal as they possibly can, and will not want to let one of their star players leave on the cheap – especially as they will need to find a replacement.
Ladbrokes News’ Dave Burin said: “It seems Mahrez is set to walk out on Shakespeare and Leicester this summer, with the odds suggesting his next act could take place at Anfield.”
