Reds close to completing transfer worth £18m
Liverpool are reportedly very close to completing an £18million deal for Roberto Firmino.
Kop boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to add to his strike force this summer in the window, with Luis Suarez leaving for Barcelona last summer, Daniel Sturridge spending a hefty chunk of last season on the injury list, and Mario Balotelli being a disappointment since joining the club.
Firmino has emerged as hot property since performing well for Brazil at the Copa America, and Manchester United were also keeping tabs on him.
A Big Deal
However, Brazilian media has indicated that it is Liverpool in pole position to sign the Hoffenhaim ace.
The reports suggest that Liverpool on the brink of securing a £17.8million deal, with a 5-year-contract apparently ready to be offered.
Firmino’s agent has already confirmed that his client will be in the Premier League next season, and it’s looking like he could be making his way to Anfield ahead of the new campaign
