According to reports, Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy, is Arsene Wenger’s number-one transfer target this Summer.

The Frenchman, who spent last season on-loan at Newcastle United, has caught the eye of three Premier League sides after his brief time in England, but it’s believed that Arsenal is his favoured destination due to Thierry Henry being his childhood hero.

Along with Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have shown interest in the French striker, but according to reports, it’s Arsenal who are leading the way, and it’s Remy who is Wenger’s number-one priority this Summer.

The Gunners heavily relied on Olivier Giroud last season as their only main-striker, so Wenger is keen to address that issues first this Summer, and it appears Remy is his man.

A French expert had this to say: “Remy wants to play Champions League football. Arsenal is his favourite destination and he is the forward that Arsene Wenger is following the most closely,”

“He tried to sign him before he went to Marseille a few years back and I think that if he performs well at the World Cup, then things could move quite quickly after that.”

“Wenger likes his versatility, he can play on the right, on the left and in the centre and he is very much like a young Thierry Henry. I think that’s what is appealing for Wenger”.
