Liverpool midfielder, Lucas Leiva, has picked up yet another injury which could rule him out for up to a month.

The Brazilian is known for injury problems and has spent a large portion of his career sidelined due to numerous problems, but the latest comes as a real setback as he was just breaking back into Brendan Rodgers’ first-team.

Despite missing the FA Cup replay against Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday night, Lucas was chosen to start against Everton in the Merseyside Derby, but his game last just 15-minutes before he had to be taken off for Joe Allen.

Ahead of the derby with Everton, Lucas hadn’t trained properly and was clearly not fully fit, but Rodgers chose him anyway and the plan backfired.

Lucas is now set to miss up to four weeks with a thigh problem meaning he will miss a crucial stage of the season.
