Lupa Castelli are preparing to make a loan offer for Mario Balotelli.
The striker has failed to make an impact at Anfield since his move to Liverpool and the Italian side – who play in Lega Pro – are willing to offer him a chance to return to his home country.
May have no future at Anfield
The deal would only be a loan move – they are of course a third tier side and were only formed two years ago, so do not have the funds to make a permanent bid – and they hope the lure of first-team football and the chance to get his career back on track may convince him to join them.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has himself admitted that the 24-year old may not have a future at the club and it could mean that he makes the move to Castelli, who are eager to tie up a 6-month deal for him.
