Napoli have offered Manchester United a huge swap deal in order to get £27.5million flop Marouane Fellaini to Italy as soon a possible.
Belgian Fellaini is thought to have agreed a deal to join Rafa Bentiez’s side, but it is the fee between the two clubs which is stopping the deal from completion. In order to beak the deadlock, according to reports in Italy, Napoli have offered winger Dires Mertens in a straight swap for the midfielder.
Talk of the big-haired Belgian’s move was heating up after Fellaini’s agent was spotted in Brussells with Napoli chief Riccardo Bigon. The swap deal is likely to ease United fans after Fellaini failed to justify his £27.5million price tag this last season after signing just last summer. It is thought that Nani and Anderson could follow him out of the exit door as Van Gaal looks to shake up United’s midfield.
