United are willing to pay the £36.3m needed to trigger the release clause of the full-back
Man United have agreed to pay Danilo’s £36.3m release clause, according to AS. The Red Devils are one of a number of teams that have been interested in the Porto man, including rivals Liverpool and Real Madrid.
But it appears United are about to beat their rivals to his signature, with AS claiming that Louis Van Gaal is ready and willing to match the release clause in the full-back’s contract. The stumbling block for any deal had been the player’s big price tag but with United willing to pay the large fee, a deal can now be done.
Van Gaal is more than happy to pay £36.3m for Danilo as he sees him as a top talent and a quality defender, which is just what United need, so it would be great news for the club if they sign him.
