Man United are interested in teenager Giorgio Scalvini this January.

The 19-year-old defender has been the subject of interest from Manchester United who are keen on signing a new centre-back this January.

Erik ten Hag has looked at a number of defenders to reinforce the backline in the summer but failed to sign anyone.

Harry Maguire has been linked with an exit this January and Scalvini could be the ideal long-term replacement for the England international.

The Atalanta defender is also on the radar of several Serie A clubs including Inter Milan and Juventus but they will be facing strong competition from Manchester United.

Man United have the financial resources to beat the Serie A giants to Giorgio Scalvini’s signature this January.

He remains a crucial player for Atalanta as the defender can help them return to the Champions League next year.

The teenage sensation has been phenomenal for Gasperini’s side this season helping the squad keep seven clean sheets in ten games.

The Red Devils are keen on signing a new defender and would have to shell out €50 million to secure Scalvini’s services.

The young defender would be attracted to joining a big club like Manchester United and showcasing his qualities in the Premier League.
