Kai Havertz has been labelled as a ‘broken man’.

The German international has struggled since making his big-money move this summer from Chelsea.

Havertz has endured a difficult campaign so far and has registered only one goal and one assist in 16 games across all competitions.

Mikel Arteta was confident the 24-year-old could fill left by Granit Xhaka this summer.

But the Spaniard has continued to keep his trust in the playmaker for whom the club has paid an exorbitant fee.

Havertz has lacked confidence in the last few games as he failed to meet expectations since making a move in the summer transfer window.

Pundit Chris Sutton believes the player lacks confidence in his abilities as he’s failing to deliver on his price tag.

“Havertz looks a broken man, a player with absolutely zero confidence. Having been there myself, it’s not a nice place to be. The effort is there but he seems muddled,” Sutton told the It’s All Coming Up podcast.

“His decision-making isn’t good. He’s trying but looking at his body language… he needs a break, a big moment. Not sympathy penalties like earlier in the season.”
