Manchester City are keen on signing FC Barcelona star, Gerard Pique, but face serious competition from close-rivals, Manchester United and Chelsea.
The Spaniard has struggled for first-team football at the Nou Camp this season due to Luis Enrique’s appointment, falling behind Javier Mascherano and Jeremy Mathieu, who are both favoured as the centre-back options.
The 27-year-old is reportedly unhappy with his bit-part role at the Catalan club and is considering leaving if his game-time doesn’t increase, sparking interest from the Premier League giants.
Chelsea and United are both keen on signing the Spanish international, and it’s reported that City have also entered the race to sign the £24m-rated centre-back.
Pique failed last time in England after being sold by United back to his boyhood club of Barcelona, but that hasn’t put him off the idea of returning to the Premier League.
