Citizens want another talent from Liverpool

Manchester City are interested in signing Liverpool forward Jerome Sinclair, according to reports.

The 20-year-old is out of contract in the summer and it’s already been revealed that he will be leaving Anfield once his deal expires, meaning the Merseyside club could look to cash in during the January window.

Sinclair has failed to break into the Liverpool first-team, with odd appearances every so often, and he’s already made the difficult decision to quit the club in order to further his career.

According to reports today, one of the clubs interested in him is Manchester City, who signed Raheem Sterling from Liverpool during the summer.

City splashed out ÂŁ50million on Sterling, but this deal will be considerably cheaper for Manuel Pellegrini.

Due to being in the same league as Liverpool, City cannot offer Sinclair a pre-contract in January, meaning overseas club have the advantage, and with Spanish side Espanyol and Dutch outfit Groningen both interested in the starlet, they could make their moves.
