Despite only joining Bayern Munich from Borussia Dortmund, where he was highly coveted, in the pre-season of the last campaign, the German international has now admitted that he wants a move to the Premier League in the near future. And it has been reported that Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are set to battle to his signature during the next transfer window.
Gotze told Bild: “I am very, very happy to be playing at Bayern, in German”
“But I might play for another 14 years, and a move abroad would certainly not be bad.
“A foreign country would also be tempting for someone of my personality, but I have not given it serious thought yet.”
Gotze has defender himself against suggestions that he was ‘arrogant’, stating: “Those who maintain that don’t know me. It’s not the truth.
“I am a fairly down-to-earth guy who only wants to focus on football and have fun. That’s important. But, sadly, the perception from the outside sometimes is different.
