Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has claimed that Manchester United and David Moyes are getting off lightly from the press considering their poor start to the season.

Moyes and co. currently sit eighth in the Premier League after their slow start to the 2013/2014 campaign and despite stealing all the headlines for all the wrong reasons, Villas-Boas believes they are getting off lightly.

The now-Spurs manager also highlighted how much stick he got during his short reign at Stamford Bridge as the Portuguese-man was ridiculed by the press for weeks after his poor start at Chelsea.

‘For the champions of England to sit in their position I don’t think there has been a lot of drama,’ he said.

‘I was involved in another club before and there was much more drama surrounding my results than Manchester United’s results.

‘What I would say is they look to be coming back strong. At the end of the season I would say they will be there competing for that first place.’
