Manchester United are set to sell Angel Di Maria, to fund a transfer deal for Real Madrid’s winger, Gareth Bale, according to reports.
Di Maria has struggled to replicate his form at Manchester United, it is also believed that his family are unsettled in England after an attempted break-in, last year.
The 27-year-old Argentine, who signed for United for a British-record fee of £60 million last summer, is contemplating his future at Old Trafford, with Paris Saint-Germain keen on the winger.
With Di Maria’s future seemingly up in the air, Louis Van Gaal is set to attempt to convince Gareth Bale to return to English shores, from Real Madrid.
Bale, aged 25, has impressed for Madrid since signing from Tottenham Hotspur two-years ago, has previously stated that he doesn’t want to depart the Bernabeu.
But United will use Bale’s Welsh compatriot, Ryan Giggs, to try and urge him to leave Spain this summer, with the Red Devils set to mount a world-record bid for the player.
